5. 내 용 : This seminar discusses the recent progress and development in the area of aeroelasticity, especially regarding rotorcrafts and aircraft turbine engines. A brand new type of rotorcraft are being built today, which is a tiltrotor aircraft, such as V-22 Osprey and Bell Eagle-Eye. Such aircraft exhibits a unique aeroelastic phenomenon - whirl flutter instability. In this seminar, a peculiar analysis and its results are presented to show how the specific phenomenon is analyzed. Another serious problem that has been existing in the general - rotorcraft vibration and noise - are discussed in detail. A few active control methodologies are introduced, such as active twist of the rotor blades and the trailing-edge flap actuation. Their design concept and the experimental results will be mentioned. Finally, an analytical approach is introduced regarding the aircraft turbine engines. Another unique aeroelastic phenomenon appear in the turbine engine, and a fundamental method to predict its stability is introduced in this seminar.
