6. 내용 :
With its potential to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, improve energy security and promote economic development, renewable energy is an increasingly important part of the U.S. energy mix. To promote renewable energy properly and avoid unwanted consequences, well-to-wheel (WTW) analysis (life cycle analysis of transportation fuel) offers comparative energy and environmental benefits of newly introduced fuels, and becomes an important measure for the U.S. energy policy. This presentation provides the role of WTW analysis in U.S. energy policy making, and discusses possible solutions for U.S. transportation energy problems.
