Lately, the number of international students who have been in troubles regarding sojourn-related issues increased. According to the Sojourn Management Law in Korea, the change of the residence must be reported to the local immigration office within 14 days from its occurrence.

Please refer to the list of required documents below:
 Alien Registration Card and Passport
− Documented proof of new residence such as confirmation letter of dormitory residence

If international students fail to report a change or get proper permission from the Immigration Office in Korea, penalty up to 10,000 dollars will be charged according to the law. Please make sure to report any changes within the period and avoid any damage. Also, visiting the official website of the Immigration Office (http://www.hikorea.go.kr/pt/main_en.pt) regularly is highly recommended during your study in SNU.

Thank you for your cooperation and hope your semester goes well until the end.
