이경수 교수가 국제자동제어학회(International Federation of Automatic Control, IFAC)에서 수여하는 ‘IFAC Journal Control Engineering Practice Best Paper Prize’ 논문상을 수상하였다. 본 상은 지난 2008년부터 2011년까지 IFAC Journal Control Engineering Practice에 게재된 논문중에서 Editor와 심사위원회의 심사를 통해 선정된 논문에 주어지는 상이다.

이경수 교수는 2009년 세계적 학술지 IFAC Journal ''Control Engineering Practice''에‘Design, tuning, and evaualtion of a full range adaptive contro with collision avoidance’라는 주제로 발표한 논문의 중요성을 인정받은 데 따른 것이다.
이 학술지는 1996년부터 3년에 한 번씩 개최되는 IFAC 총회(World Congress of the International Federation of Automatic Control)에서 지난 3년간 게재된 논문 중에서 가장 탁월한 논문을 선정해 논문상(Best Paper Prize)을 수여하고 있다.

시상식은 지난 8월 28일 ~ 9월 2일 이탈리아 밀라노에서 열린 제18차 IFAC 총회(World Congress of the International Federation of Automatic Control)에서 있었다.
