In today’s world, research is no longer confines to one’s institution or country. Research has gone global where forging strategic alliances to leverage on one’s resources plays a vital part towards one’s pursuit of research excellence. This presentation highlights the range of multi-disciplinary strategic research programmes that are being conducted in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. These strategic programmes include Advanced Electronics and Manufacturing Processes, Biomedical and Biomaterials Engineering, Computational Engineering, Intelligent Systems, and Nanotechnology and Microsystems. Probable opportunities of forging collaborative partnerships and exchange programmes would also be discussed.

6. 약 력 :

Dr Sun-Woh Lye obtained his BSc and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Bath, England. He is currently a professor and Associate Chair (Research) from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His portfolio includes overseeing graduate programmes, research activities and commercialisation of technological innovations. He had also served as a reviewer, consultant and expert member to several engineering and governmental related companies in the training, problem solving, evaluation of engineering research projects and product development.
