[기계] Development and Applications of a Single Particle Mass Spectrometry
1. 제 목 : Development and Applications of a Single Particle Mass Spectrometry
2. 연 사 : Prof. Donggeun Lee(School of Mechanical Engineering, Pusan National University)
3. 일 시 : 2007년 12월 6일 (목) 17:00 - 18:00
4. 장 소 : 신공학관 301동 117호 세미나실
5. 내 용 : This seminar will cover the concept of the single particle analysis, a variety of applications of the single particle mass spectrometry (SPMS), and designing issues for development of a novel single particle mass spectrometry. As examples of the applications, I will include the kinetic measurements of spray pyrolysis and oxidation of nanometal particle that occur at nanometer scale and the origin of metal containing diesel emitted particles. I will introduce the limitations of the current SPMS for the application to the single particle analysis. Then, I will raise several important concerns which should be considered for the development of a single-particle mass spectrometer (SPMS). They are related to the performance and the characteristics of the components of that machine, i.e., aerosol collimation and ion kinetic energy effects.
Then I will address how we could solve the problems.
