5. 내 용 :
This seminar introduces analytical and experimental researches on the application of composite and smart materials in aerospace structures. In the first part, for the application of adaptive aircraft structures, the shape adaptive wing with film type actuator of SMAs is numerically demonstrated. Moreover, the smart composite wing fabricated using an SMA actuator and a FBG optical fiber sensor is presented. In the second part, the configuration control of inflated membrane structures, one of the large flexible space structures, is demonstrated. The SMA actuators coupled with the membrane surface are used to adjust the configuration of the inflatable structure. It is found that SMA actuator is very effective to control the configuration and wrinkling development of inflatable structures. The third part introduces the thermomechanical characteristics of the film-fabric laminate for the stratospheric airship envelope. Mechanical tensile properties of the material at room, high and low temperature are measured. Based on the thermomechanical properties of the film-fabric laminate measured by experiment, the envelope of stratospheric airship is numerically modeled. In the last part, the aeroelastic simulation of aircraft structures will be presented.
