[기계] HCCI (Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) Engine Control
1. 제 목 : HCCI (Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) Engine Control
2. 일 시 : 2010년 7월 15일(목) 14:00~15:00
3. 장 소 : 301동 1512호
4. 연 사 : Jun-Mo Kang, Ph.D
Staff Researcher,
Propulsion Systems Research Lab.,
General Motors Global R&D
5. 내용요약 :
Auto-ignited combustion in HCCI (Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition) engines highly depends on temperature and composition of the cylinder charge. In this presentation, characteristics of such combustion are investigated using a control-oriented HCCI engine model. First, thermal equilibrium points are obtained from the model and the sensitivity of combustion phasing around those equilibrium points are examined to understand characteristics of auto-ignited combustion. Finally, a method toeffectively visualize the sensitivity of auto-ignited combustion is presented to explain how combustion characteristics change as engine operating condition changes.
6. 약 력 :
Jun-Mo Kang received the B.E.E. degree in electrical engineering from the Korea University in 1993, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical
engineering and computer science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1997 and 2000, respectively. After graduation, he joined General Motors and is currently a staff researcher at General Motors Global R&D, Warren, MI. His research interests are in control and modeling of advanced technology engines and optimization of dynamic systems.
