6. 내용 :
Controlled synthesis and assembly of carbon nanotubes on Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS), and number of their applications are presented. These top-down followed by a bottom-up integration approaches are performed on the fully fabricated MEMS structures to enhance the functionalities of MEMS and/or as novel device applications. The accomplishment makes possible the direct synthesis of CNTs or nanowires on micromachined structures for on-chip transduction, readout, processing, and communications circuitry, facilitating the integration of nanostructures with MEMS and other larger-scale systems. The exemplary devices include pressure and flow sensors, micromechanical switches, gas sensors and inertial sensors.
